Case Study #2
Project:

Adelaide River Offline Water Storage (AROWS) Stage 8, Darwin, NT

Client:
Project Dates: Stage 2: Oct/Nov 2017
Stage 6: Nov 2021
Stage 8: Oct 2022
Stage 9: TBC
Scope:

Land geophysical investigation to assist in the characterisation of rock and weathering profile, potential faulting and palaeochannel delineation.
Depth to rock, subsurface characterisation and seismic P-wave distribution and material type.

The investigation was carried out in very challenging terrain/project, e.g., remote location (limited communication between crew), rocky steep ridges (access limitation), extreme temperatures, wildlife, extensive area (more than 40 km2), multiple seismic and explosive crews. These required a careful and rigorous management of health and safety, logistics and technical implementation.

Work was carried out in multiple stages for a total of more than 3 months in the field and ongoing.
