What Scurbat can assist you with

As a multi-disciplinary geophysics company, Scurbat does not relay on a single technology (e.g., potential field only or seismic only) and try to fit that technology to any application.

Based on experience, we believe that the selection of appropriate geophysical tools is site specific and target specific. Therefore, it is important that all available potentially suitable methods are critically evaluated.

We understand that each methodology/technique has intrinsic limitation, therefore, we have at our disposal multiple systems that work at optimum within a specific physical parameter, and is appropriate for the condition, environment, and scope of a project.

Below are some considerations when developing geotechnical geophysics investigation programme:

  • What are the physical properties of interest?

  • Which geophysical methods respond to the physical properties of interest?

  • Which techniques can provide the required spatial resolution and target definition?

  • Which geophysical tools can perform well under study-area conditions?

  • Which techniques are most cost effective?

  • Which techniques can provide complementary data?

  • What non-geophysical control is required to constrain the interpretation of acquired geophysical data?

  • Is the overall geophysical program cost-effective?

If these considerations are not addressed, the investigation can result in acquisition of unsuitable geophysical data, incurrence of unnecessary expenditures and undesirable time delays.

We categorise our methodologies in 10 main types:
