Geophysical investigation to assist in determining location and extent of palaeochannels for the design and construction of a levee between the existing river and the future open cut mine.

In addition, a shallow soil type/salinity/conductivity investigation was carried out along parallel lines to the proposed levee.

The investigation was carried out with strict adherence to the rules and regulations pertinent to an operational mine site.
